Rebirthing

Breathe to come back to yourself

A journey of conscious connected breathing to create space within yourself, release deep tensions, and reconnect with your body, your emotions, and your vital energy.

What is rebirthing

Rebirthing is a conscious breathing technique based on circularity and the connection between inhalation and exhalation.

The breath is guided in a continuous flow, without forced pauses, creating a rhythm that helps the body open, relax, and allow what often remains held beneath the surface to emerge: emotions, tensions, memories, insights, and deeper needs.

It is a simple practice in form, but very deep in its effects.

It does not require you to “understand” everything with the mind: the work happens through the body, the breath, and presence.

The Origins of Rebirthing

An ancient practice, rediscovered in a modern form.

Breathwork belongs to many ancient spiritual and body-based traditions.

In India, practices based on the observation and continuity of the breath were already present within yogic paths.

In the 1970s, Leonard Orr rediscovered and brought to the West a specific form of circular breathing, which he called Rebirthing. The name evokes the idea of an inner rebirth: not as an abstract concept, but as a concrete experience of release, opening, and return to one’s vital energy.

Today, Rebirthing is used as a practice for personal growth, body awareness, and emotional release.

How the Breath Works

In Rebirthing, different breathing modalities can be used.

Breathing in and out through the mouth tends to activate the body, sensations, and emotional world more strongly. It can help you come into contact with held emotions, deep tensions, and parts of yourself that need to be listened to.

Nose-to-nose breathing is often used in a more subtle and integrative way, to support centeredness, presence, and inner connection.

During the session, there is no performance to achieve.

The breath becomes a path of listening: it opens, accompanies, and helps create space within, allowing you to perceive yourself in a new way.

Benefits of Rebirthing

What breathwork can support

Rebirthing can help you work on two main levels:
the physical level and the emotional-mental level.

On a physical and bodily level

Through circular breathing, the body can gradually enter a state of greater openness and relaxation.

The practice can support:

  • a wider and more conscious breath

  • greater body awareness

  • release of muscular tension

  • softening of deep contractions

  • a sense of lightness and well-being

  • greater grounding

  • more inner space and vitality

When the body feels safe, it can begin to let go of what it has been holding for a long time.

On an emotional and mental level

Rebirthing can bring awareness to emotions, perceptions, and inner beliefs that influence the way we experience ourselves, our relationships, and reality.

Through the breath, blocked emotions, recurring thoughts, old patterns, or body memories may emerge, asking to be seen and integrated.

This can help you to:

  • recognize old automatic patterns

  • let go of stagnant emotions

  • rediscover greater centeredness

  • access more joy and vitality

  • perceive more clearly what you feel

  • step more fully into your personal power

  • open to the concrete possibility of changing your life

Who is it for?

Rebirthing may be suitable for you if:

  • you feel the need to get out of your head and return to the body

  • you experience anxiety, stress, confusion, or inner blocks

  • you feel held emotions that are unable to flow

  • you have recurring physical tensions

  • you want to release old emotional patterns

  • you wish to work on your relationship with yourself and your story

  • you feel the need to reconnect with vitality, clarity, and presence

  • you want to move through a time of change with greater awareness

  • you desire a safe space where you can be accompanied in depth

How a Session Works

A protected space to breathe, feel, and let go.

Each session begins with a moment of listening.

We take the time to understand what you are experiencing, which emotions are present, and which theme you wish to bring into the work.

Then I guide you into the practice of circular breathing, supporting you with my voice, presence, and attentive listening to your process.

During the session, physical sensations, emotions, images, memories, or insights may emerge. Nothing needs to be forced. The body knows where to go, and the breath becomes the thread that allows the process to open naturally.

At the end of the session, there is a space for integration, to give words to what has emerged and gather the meaning of the experience.

A cycle to be reborn into yourself.

A single session can be very useful to approach Rebirthing, open a process, or receive support during a specific moment.

For deeper work, I also offer an ongoing journey.

Traditionally, the cycle can unfold over 9 months, a symbolic and energetic timeframe connected to the idea of “rebirthing oneself”.

This journey allows the body to gradually enter a space of trust, the breath to open more deeply, and inner themes to emerge with greater continuity.

It is suitable for those who desire a more structured transformational process, not just a single experience.

Releasing old family knots.

Within an ongoing journey, a process of awareness, forgiveness, and resolution with parental figures can also be integrated.

This is a 4-step process that helps bring light to what has remained unresolved in the relationship with the father, the mother, or primary caregivers.

These bonds deeply influence the way we relate, love, choose, protect ourselves, and allow ourselves to receive.

The work is not about justifying what has been painful, nor about forcing mental forgiveness.

It is about recognizing what still lives in the body and in the heart, letting go of old resentment, freeing held energy, and opening a new space of presence and inner maturity.

When something becomes more peaceful within us, the family field too can receive a movement of healing.
